The Self-Supported Ethos
You are responsible for yourself.
You are on your own. You accept responsibility for your preparation, choices, and outcome. GPS is a mandatory gear item. All participants will be expected to pass a gear check prior to the race. Road rules apply across all event categories. Traffic will be active on course. Volunteers WILL NOT be posted at trail or road crossings. Be alert. You’re signing up for an Adventure. In an emergency, dial 911.
We’re not trying to scare you or brag about how hard the day will be. You can do this. We want you to understand what you signed up to do. We want you to be prepared. We want you to understand the penalty for underestimating the challenge, or poor planning. Both could result in undesired consequences.
Self-supported races like The Crusher will push you out of your comfort zone, require you to be responsible for you, remove excuses, teach you to be resourceful, and in the end more self-reliant. The skills we develop at self-supported events make us better parents, employees, and partners.
You can do this. CRUSH your comfort zone.
